Richland County CASA Director Honored at Philanthropy Day 2009 Luncheon

COLUMBIA , SC –J. Paige Greene, Executive Director of Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), was honored today at the 2009 National Philanthropy Day Luncheon by corporate sponsor Emore Development Resources.

“Paige's enthusiasm for her invaluable work is contagious,” said Holli S. Emore, CFRE, principal of Emore Development Resources.  “From the moment you walk into the CASA office, it is clear that you have encountered a very different place.  Paige continually motivates and urges her staff to reach higher.”

“Too many children continue to fall through the cracks, and we will not stop until we have reached every one of them,” said Greene.  “As long as there are abused and neglected children in Richland County , CASA is going to be there for them.” 

Since 1983 RC CASA has recruited, screened, trained, supervised, and provided legal representation for Guardians ad Litem appointed to children in cases of abuse and neglect.  Richland County CASA ' s mission is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Richland County Family Court by providing quality volunteer and legal representation to ensure each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.

National Philanthropy Day is celebrated each year by the international Association of Fundraising Professionals, which for over 50 years has advanced ethical and effective fundraising. (www.afpnet.org)
