| Building Board of Adjustment and Appeal |

The Board was established under the building code ordinance, Richland County Code of Laws, and consists of seven members
appointed by the Council for three-year terms. One member must come from each of the following industries: Architecture,
Engineering, Contracting, Building, Electrical, Plumbing, and Gas. Appeals to decisions made by the building official is
referred to this Board by the Chief Building Inspector.
