The Ira and Nancy Koger Center for the Arts Patron Board was created by the agreement dated May 7, 1985, between the University of South Carolina, the University of South Carolina Research and Development Foundation, Richland County, and the City of Columbia, to consist of eleven members. The City of Columbia and the Richland County Council each appoints three members. The President of the University, or his designee, shall serve as Chairman and the University shall appoint an additional five members. The terms are four years. The Board shall review and approve plans for the construction of the Hall, oversee construction by a general contractor, and meet as often as necessary to accomplish construction. It shall establish a policy of use priority and a schedule of rates to ensure the shared benefits of the Hall to the University and the community. After construction, the Board shall meet annually to revise, if required, such policy and schedule.
